Kara Brown, NP-C
Kara received her Master’s in nursing as well as her BSN at Emory University, graduating with honors in both programs. She also has a BS in Exercise Science, Athletic Training from Truman State University in Kirksville, MO. Kara worked at Mckinney’s Apothecary in downtown Decatur before returning to get her NP degree and joined Ponce Primary Care in 2012.
With a passion for preventive medicine, wellness, and acute illness care, Kara also enjoys medical mission work having spent time in Costa Rica, Mexico, Honduras, and Bahamas. In her spare time Kara runs a foot clinic for homeless men and women at the Healing Community Center. She is also an avid rock climber, runner and soccer enthusiast.
Kara is married with a young daughter and has two dogs, a cat, and a turtle who also keep her busy.
