Emily Walker, MD
Dr. Walker recently moved to the Atlanta area from Massachusetts where she was practicing primary care and hospital medicine in the Boston Area. She also has significant experience with urgent care and has taken care of critically ill patients in the intensive care setting. She completed her undergraduate work at Swarthmore College and earned her medical degree from Dartmouth at the Geisel School of Medicine. Initially she trained in Obstetrics and Gynecology and completed her internship at Emory University, but after realizing that her calling was in primary care, she transferred to the University of Connecticut Family Medicine Residency and served as chief resident in her final year. She has also completed her Masters in Public Health at Yale University.
Her professional interests include women's reproductive health, management of chronic illness, diet and health behaviors, and she is trained in office-based dermatologic and orthopedic procedures. She lives with her partner who is also a family physician and she enjoys road biking and cooking and sharing meals with family and friends.
